The fifth and final night of local music festival Thunderfest concluded with a stripped-back and acoustic night.

Opening the evening was Emma McNeill, whose mellow set seemed to blend into one sounding much the same as every fledglingacoustic singer-songwriter.

WITH the rain hammering down relentlessly all day I was relieved that Thunderfest is my kind of festival – indoors, no camping required and only ten minutes from my house.
But joking aside, this is an excellent annual showcase of local talent in one of the city’s best live music venues.

The rather brilliantly titled “Thunderfest” is a five day festival being held over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate the best of Bristol’s music scene.

There are some great bands on the bill, taking advantage of one of the city’s most underrated venues for live music, the Thunderbolt in Totterdown.
