BRISTOL’S Pride Festival’s “milkshake” is starting to draw the big names to town, if this year’s headliner was anything to go by.

Getting American singer Kelis on board was a huge coup for the organisers, and by far the biggest associated with the event.

THERE’S a fine line between being reliable and predictable.

When you buy a ticket for a gig the former can guarantee a good night out, the latter a bad one.

Although always entertaining, gypsy folk band Sheelanagig are such a familiar sight in Bristol they’re in danger of becoming part of the furniture.

THE problem with doing a gig based around performing an entire album is you’ve got to pick the right one.

Legendary frontman of The Who Roger Daltrey is the latest performer to take one of his back catalogue on the road, and he had plenty of classics to choose from.

Unfortunately he went for the over rated rock opera concept album Tommy from 1969.
